This is Video 2 on God’s Love, which comes from our faith
and belief in God — trusting him enough to believe him.

We must know the love of God, deep in our hearts,
so we are filled with all the fullness of God as Paul
says in Ephesians 3. He describes this as knowing
the breadth, length, depth and height of God’s love.

When we know God’s love in personal experience,
it opens up all the other aspects of the gospel for us.
Everything good begins with knowing God’s love for us.

The first thing in receiving God’s love is to ONLY live the New Testament gospel, because it reveals God’s love to us. This is why Jesus says to repent of and forsake all other beliefs, and ONLY believe his gospel (Mark 1:15). If we live by any type of laws, rules or standards, what these do is measure us, — and we’re always going to come up short, — we’ll always have a deficit.

Any deficit we have blocks our ability to receive God’s love because we feel like we don’t deserve it. If we mix the gospel of Jesus with anything else, even God’s law, it’s like putting arsenic in your food. And spiritually, it’s like mixing the blood of Old Testament animals with the blood of Jesus. That’s not smart.

Remember that the Old Testament law demands from us, and we can’t do it. No one else could, as we saw (Acts 15:10). So if we think we can, we’re guilty of pride, and that’s one of the 7 deadly sins. But the New Testament gospel gives us all the wonderful things of God and his Kingdom (Rom 8:32, Luke 12:32). Everything in the New Testament is a GIFT to us from God (I Cor 3:21-22). It’s a love letter to us from God. It’s God’s power working in us.

This begins with us knowing God’s UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for us, if we trust Jesus and believe what he tells us in his gospel (John 3:36). Our lives must begin everyday knowing God’s love, as soon as our eyes are open in the morning, or at least by the time our feet hit the floor. This is living in faith and belief.

One problem in knowing God’s love for us, is so many only know him as GOD. But Jesus and Paul both say we should know him as ABBA FATHER (Mark 4:36, Rom 8:15, Gal 4:6). This is a very loving relationship between a daddy and his kids. So coming to know God as Abba Father helps a lot in knowing his love for us.

We are told nothing can separate us from God’s love (Rom 8:39). Do you have enough faith and belief to truly believe this? Or is your thinking more ‘conditional’ than this?

The Holy Spirit floods our hearts with God’s love, if we will let him do so and receive it (Rom 5:5). God’s love takes away all fear of God, including us being judged by God in eternity (I John 4:17-18). We’re told to always keep ourselves in God’s love (Titus 1:21). I see this as like taking a shower in God’s love all day long.

This means we are to keep reminding ourselves of God’s love for us, if we know and live in Jesus,— even when we don’t always perform or act or live right like we should.
